- After retiring as a lawyer, Pat saw that no one was addressing preschool literacy. She started the non-profit, Ready Readers, which is a literacy agency that has more than 450 volunteers reading to over 7,300 underpriviledged children mainly in Headstart programs. It is now in its 15th year. Because of Pat, tens of thousands of children have home libraries filled with wonderful books.

- Nancy has been the attorney in charge of GOALS, the Gateway Older Adult Legal Services project, a program sponsored by the local chapter of the American Jewish Congress. Each year she works with dozens of low income elderly, providing free legal services regardless of race or religion.
